Much to the disappointment of a fair few, the Woolmer’s Estate Fair was summarily cancelled.

News started leaking even before the affected dealers had been officially notified. I’m not quite sure the organisers realise that that’s not quite the way to do things; it’s guaranteed to make people cross.

Oh well, on with the new, so to speak.

The Tasmanian summer season will start with the Hobart Collectors’ Fair, which always generates a lot of excitement. It also signals the start of the summer season across Australia, as it’s closely followed by the Jupiter’s Casino Fair, at the other end of the country, causing a quick scramble for Tasmanian and Mainland dealers alike, who hurry back to home base to restock and then set off for Queensland.
